The Vocas ZiF-100 digital lens controller.
Through its ergonomic design and advanced 24 bit DSP electronics it is now possible to control zoom/focus or zoom/iris with one hand.
Standard functions such as VTR start/stop, return video, zoom/focus direction and speed adjustment are all built into the controller.

More unique features of the ZiF-100 include;

Zoom-Focus Link

Combines zoom and focus set positions such that focus changes while moving the zoom through
a prescribed range to a "rack focus". The focus adjustment is completely user definable.

EZ-Focus

Push the EZ button and the zoom advances non-stop to the tele-end of its range which allows for easy focusing.
Push the EZ button a second time and the zoom returns directly to its original position.

Focus Shift

Allows switching between two pre-set focus points. The transition speed is variable.

Zoom Position Memory

Two set points can be placed anywhere in the zoom range. This effectively creates a user defined wide and/or tele-end.
Once set, these limits remain in memory until changed by the user.

Compatibility

The ZiF-100 is designed to work with Canon, Fujinon and Angenieux lenses.
Focus control requires a built-in focus motor or a separate Focus Servo Module.
Iris control is available for all lenses, except for lenses with a 'hotshoe' connection to the camera.
For iris control the optional IB-100 is required.
The ZiF-100 can be configured as a Zoom/Focus controller or as a Zoom/Iris controller.
The controller software allows coordination with all B4 mount lenses.
Electrical connection is made via an exchangeable cable.
Users can personalise the controller's attachment to a pan bar in 2 axes with 360° rotation.
