MB-450 Mattebox Accessories

Swing away bracket MKII Swing away bracket MKII for the MB-450 mattebox. The Swing away bracket features a unique design that allows the user to move the mattebox forward and swing it away from the lens, by rotating one single knob. This enables the user to quickly change lenses without having to disassemble the mattebox setup. The MKII version of this Swing away bracket features a more compact design which prevents interference with a follow focus when used on a short lens. This version also features a different way of mounting the system on the various sizes rails which are used in the industry. The 15mm lightweight bracket is standard in the system, and the 19mm and 15mm studio adapters mount underneath the 15mm lightweight bracket. Swing away bracket MKII for 15mm lightweight rail support. Balance plate 19mm BP19-1 Balance plate 19mm BP19-1. Item #0480-0001 This Balance plate allows the use of 19mm rails and precise calibration of the camera's centre of gravity on your tri-pod. Made from high strength aluminum alloy and stainless steel, this balance plate is very strong yet extremely light. This balance plate is adjustable both horizontally and vertically for optimal configuration with most broadcast level shoulder cameras equipped with dovetail type tripod plate. Shoulder support to BP-19 adapter Shoulder support to BP-19 balance plate adapter. Item #0480-0025 This adapter allows the use of the Vocas 15mm based shoulder support (item#: 0370-0001) while using a 19mm balance plate. Due to it's market standard dovetail connection it is also compatible with other brands such as Arri. Available in September 2010.

19mm to 15mm adapter 19mm to 15mm adapter for the BP19-1 balance plate. Item #0490-0001 This adapter allows the use of 15mm based accessories while using the 19mm balance plate.

19mm and 15mm handgrip system One double sided bracket for use on both 15mm or 19mm rails. Affordable enough for all cameras with a rail support, from HDV to high-end production cameras. Made from the most modern and high grade aluminium, for optimal lightweight and durability. Compatible with handgrip systems from some other brands. Ready to use kits: Handgrip kit, including 19mm and 15mm combi bracket (#0390-0006) and one handgrip (#0390-0005). RED adapter plate Adapter plate for the BP19-1. Item #0490-0002 This adapter plate is required when mounting a RED one camera onto the BP19-1 balance plate.

15 mm barsadapter Item #0460-0001. If the MB-450 mattebox is used on 15 mm lightweight support this item is needed.

French flag Non foldable top flag for the MB-450. Item #0430-0001.

French flag Hinged Top flag for MB-450. Item #0430-0002. This item is included in the MB-450 mattebox set (Item #0400-0451.)

Side flag kit Side flag kit for MB450. Consisting of two retractable side doors. Item #0440-0001 For best protection against lens flair we recommend using a side flag kit.

Filter frames Filter frame 121 mm wide for 4"x5,65" filters, this frame fits in the fixed horizontal filter slot in the MB-450 Item #0410-0001. Filter frame 150 mm wide combo 4"x4" / 4"x5,65" horizontal Item #0410-0002. Filter frame 150 mm wide combo 5,65"x5,65" / 4"x5,65" Vertical Item #0410-0003. The above mentioned filterframes (1pc of each) are all included in the MB-450 mattebox set (Item #0400-0451.) Filter frame 150 mm wide 4"x4" Item #0410-0006. 4th filterholder This unit is attached in the front of the hood of the mattebox, and allows the use of a 4th (4"x5,65" horizontal non rotatable) filter in the hood of the MB-450. Item #0410-0004.

Tilt filter unit Tilt filter unit for MB-450. Item #0410-0005. For extra flare reduction this unit can be placed inside the hood of the MB-450. The filterframe in the non-rotatable filter tray of the MB-450 has to be removed. Click here for sample pictures of lens flare problems caused by reflections between filters and / or front lens. Step-down adapterrings If the MB-450 mattebox is used as a clip-on (directly attached to the lens front), one of these following step down rings have to be used. Adapterring 144 mm to 110 mm. For clip-on use with MB-450. Item #0420-0002. Adapterring 144 mm to 117 mm. For clip-on use with MB-450. Item #0420-0003. Adapterring 144 mm to 130 mm. For clip-on use with MB-450. Item #0420-0004. Adapterring 144 mm to 132 mm. For clip-on use with MB-450. Item #0420-0005. Adapterring 144 mm to 136 mm. For clip-on use with MB-450. Item #0420-0007. Adapterring 144 mm to 105 mm ring system adapter. Allows the use of all 105 mm system adapterrings (with Item #0320-XXXX) in the MB-450. Item #0420-0006. Please click here to find the adapterring which you require for your specific lens. Care should be taken when using a clip-on mattebox to avoid damage to your equipment. We do not recommend the use of a clip-on mattebox in conjunction with a wide angle converter. Flexable adapterring kit Flexible adapter ring 144 mm for MB-450. Incl. Holder for additional 138 mm rond filter. Item #0420-0001. If the MB-450 is used on a rail support, this ring prevents light leakage between the lens and the rear end of the mattebox. This kit contains several exchangeable flexible soft rubber rings (also called "donuts"). To be used for lenses with a front outside diameter between 80 and 138mm. If the holder for the additional 138 mm round filter is used, the maximum lens diameter is 133 mm. This ring is attached in the rear end of the mattebox, and secured with the same quick lock system as used for clip on use. If a round 138 mm polarizer filter is used in the flexible adapterring, the unit can be rotated if the quick lock mechanism is released. A spare soft rubber ring set is also available: Separate rubber donut set for Flexible adapter ring MB-4XX. Consisting of 5 different rings. Item #0420-0001-01.

Accessory bracket Accessory bracket for the MB-450. Item #0450-0001. This bracket allows the user to mount any accessory that has a hot shoe to the top or bottom of the MB-450 as well as on the side flag hinges.
